Food is more much more than essential nourishment for our bodies. It is a fundamental part of who we are culturally and our daily lives. We use it to celebrate events in our lives, comforts us in times of sorrow, and prompts a variety of memories. Growing up in an Italian family it was the center for so much of what we did as a family. From the preparation, to the feasting and even the cleaning was an elaborate event.
When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I'd like to know them.

Portraits have taken on many different forms and styles through out history, They have been painted on walls, canvas, chiseled in stone. There have been many different techniques from the straight forward, to the impressionist, to cubist, and the modern day "selfie". No matter the method the goal is to portray the essence of the subject.
Photoshop is a wonderful tool. It allows us to correct, perfect and transform images in ways that are only limited by our imagination.

As a designer, a photographer, or an artist, there is nothing more gratifying than creating. There is a great satisfaction of starting with a concept and developing into a work of art.
My primary goal with all my work is to make it beautiful and interesting. This is a collection of furniture pieces I have done over the years. The one thing I learned as a designer is it's easy to have style with money. The real test is to have it on a budget. There are a number of pieces that were reinvented from other items.
